#Error 0x80070057 windows update error upgrade#
But after some checks within WSUS i can see that the upgrade files exist and this error is in fact delivered client side.Įven tried some registry values change that i saw recommended after some research, but nothing worked until this moment, and the error is always the same = 0x80070057.
#Error 0x80070057 windows update error download#
Well, facing this, i've tried several things: windows logs, CBS, DISM (healthchecks/restore and all i could remember), SFC, also some common things in this situations, like stop services (wuauserv, cryptSvc, bits, msiserver) followed by renaming folder SoftwareDistributionĪnd catroot2 folders, start the services, reboot, try again, but the result is always the same error.Īt some time, i was almost guessing that the problem wasn't client side, sustained by observing the SoftwareDistribution/Download folder when trying the upgrade, as it only downloads the exe to launch the upgrade from WSUS, but it doesn't even try to download
